At least two people were arrested at the scene, which was “restricted and secured,” Jones said late Saturday on social media. “Several gunmen are believed to be involved and the investigation is being conducted as an active sniper status,” Jones wrote on Twitter. Several people were taken to local hospitals with unknown injuries, he said. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has been called in to assist with the investigation, following shootings by officers linked to the incident at the exhibition site, Jones said. The Mississippi Mudbug Festival, which was scheduled to last until Sunday, included live bands, carnival walks and crayfish.
