Campsie Road in the city was closed for the first time in the early hours of Saturday morning with many emergency services in attendance. Police were alerted at 5.45 this morning following reports of “concern for a person” at a property on the street. The incident lasted for more than six hours and ended at 11.50 am. A 41-year-old man was arrested for the incident. They have now confirmed that no weapon was used. A police spokesman said: “At around 5.45am. This morning, Saturday, April 30, 2022, police intercepted a person call at an address on Perth Campsie Road. “As a precautionary measure, local officers were assisted by armed officers in the incident that ended at 11.50 am.
