DaBaby is facing criminal charges for a beating he claims he suffered for trying to prevent the rapper’s entourage from making a music video on his property. The rapper has been charged with a felony by the Los Angeles County Attorney’s Office … for an incident in early December last year … that allegedly left a guy, Gary Pagar, with serious injuries. There is another man named Thankgod Awute who is also accused. Prosecutors claim it was DaBaby’s team in the crime … they beat him up with a felony robbery. Pagar filed a lawsuit in February, alleging he was attacked for enforcing basic rental rules on his site. DaBaby and his team rented a huge pad that Pagar manages in LA … and Pagar says he was told it would be a vacation spot for DB and his friends. Pagar says he made it clear … there was a visitor limit – no more than 12 – which he claims DaBaby’s management team agreed to a rental agreement. During their weekly stay … Pagar says he realized there were more than 12 people in the property at any one time and complained to DaBaby’s team … assured, falsely, that he would not be there for long. Finally, on December 2, he says he visited himself and realized they were shooting a music video there with an entire film crew and a ton of other people around – over 40, he says – and Pagar tried to close the whole thing by talking to DaBaby. It was then that he claimed to have been attacked by one of the DB crew, part of which was videotaped. He says that DB ordered the guy to leave Pagar, but then allegedly punched him in the face, pulling out his tooth…, according to the lawsuit. DaBaby shot and killed 19-year-old Jaylin Craig in 2018, a shot the rapper claims was in self-defense. New security shots taken by Rolling Stone show that DaBaby seems to be the attacker and contradicts key aspects of his version of events. pic.twitter.com/M7kbKur3U9 – philip lewis (@Phil_Lewis_) April 25, 2022 @Phil_Lewis_ Sounds like Pagar went to the beginning after that, and now they are being torn down hard for DB and co. Difficult few weeks for DaBaby – this is just the last incident for him in a series of seemingly unstoppable hiccups. BTW, Jake Paul was random on this shoot … and the video seems to be one for an artist who has signed to DaBaby and may have just appeared. Anyway, the video is out.
