The violent clash was reported shortly before 8 a.m. near the intersection of Rosecrans Avenue and Beach Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. No other vehicles were involved. A gray Chrysler 300 driven by one of the crash victims was traveling east on Rosecrans Avenue at high speed when its driver lost control and crashed violently, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The agency said the two occupants, both adults, were thrown from the vehicle due to the violent collision and died on the spot. Firefighters arrived at the scene to find that an electric pole with high voltage cables had been overturned by the crash. A cut-off fire hydrant initially made it difficult for emergency responders to reach the victims, a Fire Department spokesman said. The dead were later identified as father and daughter, a sheriff’s spokesman said. Their names and ages were not immediately known. Video from the scene showed the sheriff’s investigators examining the wreckage of the overturned car. Southern California Edison crews were on the scene repairing and restoring the auxiliary network pole in operation. It is not known if alcohol and / or drugs played a role in the accident. The cause of the conflict remains under investigation, the LASD said. Anyone with information about this survey is kindly requested to call LASD Norwalk at (562) 863-8711.
