UPDATE: 10:35 a.m. The cause of the big fire in Oliver during the night is considered “suspicious”. An empty house was engulfed in flames shortly after midnight, prompting a reaction from Oliver Fire Department. Fire Chief Bob Graham says the empty house was completely destroyed by the fire, and a number of large willows near the house also caught fire. “It was empty for about four or five years,” Graham said, adding that no one was injured in the blaze. The fire broke out shortly after midnight in an industrial area on the corner of Sawmill Road and Co-op Avenue.
