The fire broke out at about 4:15 p.m. at a house in Briar Court on the north end of town, where white smoke was seen rising in the air. A firefighter had to be treated at the scene, but the reason why he needed treatment was not known. He was seen moving a little while later. No other injuries were reported. Firefighters say the fire started from the back deck, where the flames moved to the side of the house and the attic. No damage estimate has been made yet.
