A spokesman for Allister Adel DeNitto died Saturday morning of health problems. He was 45 years old. She is survived by her husband and two children. “This May we will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. My family and I are deeply saddened by this unimaginable loss. We are very proud to call Allister wife and mom,” her husband, David DeNitto, said in a statement. “We ask the press and the public to honor her, her legacy and our family with respect for our privacy at this difficult time.” The memorials will be announced at a later date. Adel’s resignation came into effect last month following a growing list of scandals and failures dating back to her November 2020 election. Last year, he spent time in a rehabilitation center for alcohol use and mental health problems. In 2020, he was admitted to hospital after a fall.
