The Apetagon has previously been convicted of burglary and intrusion for sexual assault, access to child pornography, sexual assault and aggravation.
“Apetagon also has a history of sexually assaulting minor men and women known and unknown to him,” police said.
Police issued a warning in 2012 when the Apetagon was released after four years in prison for sexual assault and burglary and entry.
He will be closely monitored by the Calgary Police Department’s High Risk Violators Program.
Police said the decision to issue the warning was made “after careful consideration and consideration of all relevant issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform members of the community”.
“The members of the public are advised that the purpose of the procedure is to allow them to take appropriate precautionary measures and not to engage in any form of vigilance.”
The Apetagon is five feet 10 inches tall, 175 pounds and has a medium build, black hair and brown eyes.
