Police were called to 21300 Carlton Street around 2 p.m. PT on Thursday after multiple reports of shootings, according to a statement. Police arrived to locate a man with gunshot wounds. He died on the spot, despite the efforts of EKAB. Comeau, 41, was known to police, but it is still unknown if his murder was linked to the Lower Mainland gang clash, according to the Integrated Murder Investigation Team (IHIT). “We want to speak with Mr Comeau’s friends and colleagues in an effort to establish a timetable for his activities in the days leading up to his death,” Det said. Sukhi Dhesi in a statement. “We are deeply concerned when a shooting occurs in our community and we understand that this is a traumatic experience for the people who witnessed this incident.” IHIT says it is still searching for witnesses, CCTVs and dashboard footage from Carlton Street and 124 Avenue, and 216 Street and Dewdney Trunk Road between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. of Thursday.
