Police made the discovery last night (Friday, April 29) in an area of the Bowland Forest after receiving new information about a location where Katie, 33, could be found. A statement from Lancashire police said: “At this stage, although we are not able to officially confirm the identity of the woman, we believe that Katie’s body is. Her family has been informed and continues to be supported by specially trained officers. “Our thoughts are with them right now.”

Lancashire police have confirmed that police investigating Katie Kenyon’s disappearance have found the body of a woman. An autopsy-necropsy will now be performed by the Ministry of Interior to determine the cause of death.
