Then they noticed “thick smoke” coming out of their house. He said: “There were a few extra mini explosions that sounded like glass was breaking from the fire. “We could not see from our house what had exploded or caught fire, but we knew it was one of the houses that had been hit.” A Greater Manchester police spokesman said: “Emergency services are currently responding to an incident in Ladyhouse Close, Milnrow. Police were called by the ambulance service around 10 a.m. this morning (Saturday 30 April 2022). “Citizens are asked to avoid the area.” The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called in to report a vehicle fire at 9.55am this morning.
