The company says the tool will encrypt your Internet connection. You can use this feature to protect your data from your ISP. As with most VPNs, you can also use Edge Secure Network to hide your location, allowing access to services that might otherwise be blocked in the country where you live or visit. If you travel frequently, the Edge Secure Network will most likely not replace a paid VPN. The feature limits you to 1 GB of data usage per month. It is also worth noting that you will need a Microsoft account to use the service. Microsoft has not yet begun testing the VPN. But once the feature is available, you will be able to activate it via the three-dot Edge icon. A new option called “Secure Network” will enable VPN.
