Who is Neil Parish?
A farmer by profession, Neil Parish has been a Member of Parliament for Tiverton and Honiton since 2010. Prior to that, he was an MEP. A father of two and grandfather of two, he still lives on the family farm, according to its official website. In the last elections he held a healthy majority of 24,239, securing 60% of the vote. Throughout his political career, his focus has been “always defending the people and being a strong voice for the countryside,” his biography says. He is the current chair of the Joint Committee on the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and is therefore also a member of the strong Liaison Committee.
