Ozark’s fourth season, the first part, ended with a bang (and plenty of blood) when his pseudo-cartel boss Javi Elizonndro (Alfonso Herrera) stirred the minds of newlyweds Darlene nee Snell (Lisa Emery) and Wyatt Langmore (Charlie Tahan). It was the tooth kick that sparked Ruth’s grief and set in motion some explosive events from which even the Byrdes could not escape at this moment. Quite preliminary! Let’s see what really happened in the finale of Ozark’s fourth season.

He explained the end of Ozark’s fourth season

Netflix

The second part begins with an unstable Ruth (Julia Garner) chasing Wyatt’s killer. It was not long before her rage ended with Javi being shot to death in front of Byrdes and Shaw’s medical boss, Clare Shaw (Katrina Lenk). To protect themselves and Ruth the Byrdes, they cover up her act by telling Omar Navarro (Felix Solis) that his nephew has disappeared and is presumed dead. This puts Navarro back in the lead to confirm his extradition deal with the FBI, but he must first regain control of his drug cartel. He does this by putting Marty to personally convey the message that he killed Javi and sending him to act temporarily as his envoy to Mexico. The news is not going well and someone is making an attempt against Navarro’s life – that someone is Camila’s sister (Xavi’s mom, played by Veronica Falcon). Netflix Meanwhile, Clare Shaw feels a little cool towards the Byrdes after helping to clean Javi’s blood from the floors of her office. He makes a deal with Ruth Langmore to drive the Byrdes out using the drugs Darlene inherited to get Shaw medically. This suits Ruth well, because in addition to ousting the Byrdes from their deal, she intends to use her new profits to buy a majority stake in The Missouri Belle Casino from them. Netflix Of course they refuse, as it is their main business for money laundering for the cartel. However, Ruth’s a Langmore and Langmores obviously do not give up. Thanks to the Langmore-Snell marriages, Ruth inherited Darlene’s estate as well as her shares in Belle. She buys the remaining shares from Charles Wilkes and removes her criminal record, making Belle the proud majority owner and the first pure Langmur in five generations. I wish there was some gold plate for that. Oh hell, he can buy one. Wendy Byrde (Laura Linney) – who also has a backbone – finds a way to bring Clare back to a five-year drug cartel deal and a $ 150 million donation to the Byrde Foundation, as well as shares for Camila at Shaw Medical . The loss of Belle, however, remains a pressing problem for the Byrdes, as they need it to launder the money of Navarro, who has also increased his extradition plans from month to day. It is prohibitive for Ruth, who insists on running a legitimate business. So what do the Byrdes do? Make another drawing on top of the moving sand base of their half-built drawings. Following the attack in Navarro, the FBI says that if he died, he would be happy for Marty (Jason Bateman) to lead the cartel to keep the drug seizures. Netflix Of course this is not going to work for the Byrdes, but that gives diligent Wendy an idea: kill Navarro and replace his sister. She is still in pain for her son, Camila agrees. Despite Wendy’s seemingly black soul, her twisted wild love for her children means that all of this is trivial unless she takes it back. Where can you wonder? Well, in this chaos of life and death, her own father – having learned that he ordered the beating of Ben’s brother (Tom Pelfry), forces Charlotte (Sophia Hublitz) and Jonah (Skylard Gertner) to run away with him. . The news causes an already troubled Wendy to commit and refuses to leave the institution until Marty makes them return. Marty – already with his hands full – assigns the task to Ruth, threatening to tell Camilla the truth about his death. She agrees and makes Jonah and Charlotte see the truth about their vile, drunken grandfather, whose real intention was to cause Wendy sadness and embarrassment. Netflix Charlotte and Jonah quarrel with Wendy, who admits that she is trying to control them. Explains (in these very important words): “Your dad and I were trying to make something for all of us and I promise I will not trap you in it.” So excited, as emotional as Burns, they move on and agree to be reunited as a family. This moving heart to heart is followed by that car accident scene. Remember, flashforward at the beginning of the season. Sam Cooke plays stereo and then bang! The Byrdes are flying. It turns out that everything was just a symbol of the unpredictability of life, because everyone escapes unscathed and ready to dance at night at the Belle-Byrde Foundation event later that night. Everything seems to be going incredibly well. The Byrdes are preparing to escape the drug business, having handed over the reins of the Missouri Belle laundry to Ruth and Rachel (Jordana Spiro) – yes, she is back. Legally, of course – Ruth’s silent record cannot be soiled – as the FBI has given her the green light, under the guise of a collaborating witness. However, this would not be Ozark if there were not a few more upheavals. Netflix In the foundation fundraiser, Camila has the impression that Byrdes and Clare know more about her son’s death than they let go. Especially after she found out that her brother was not responsible (she still kills him and takes his business from him, which is a bit bad behavior of brothers). The Byrdes remain cool and tight-lipped, but a little reference to an unjust death and Clare throws that it was Ruth who was responsible. Camilla instructs her boyfriend to kill Byrd’s children if Ruth is warned of what is to come. Despite their clear agony – even Wendy was by her side – they remain calm and move on while the formidable Ruth Langmore is murdered by Camilla on the side of the road. Bitter end to their dysfunctional pseudo-family relationship. This note is heard loudly throughout Ozark’s final act, but in Ozark’s true fashion there is one last sting for the Byrdes. Netflix Remember Mel Sattem (Adam Rothenberg), the embarrassed cop who became PI, who wanted to prove that the Byrdes killed Ben? Wendy and Marty set out to get his job back as a police officer in exchange for quitting the Ben case. He agreed at first, but his moral compass was apparently still going north. He returns to Missouri and confronts the Byrdes with evidence that Ben is dead, not missing (this damn jar of cookies full of ashes!). The Byrdes rely on their safe bribery tactics, but this time they can not be bought. Their sensitive portfolio is about to collapse when Jonah pulls out a gun and shoots Mel dead. Yes, typically little Jonah Byrde, who hates this life (except for the moment he was holding Ruth’s money laundering books) takes Mel out, sealing his fate. Just as Wendy finally lets go, giving him and Charlotte freedom, his murderous act traps him in the life from which she wanted to save him. Marty and Wendy Byrde may have achieved the freedom they sought, but this act is a reminder that their evil deeds have influenced and continue to affect what they valued above all else: their children. We think they call this poetic justice. Ozark is now available on Netflix.
