The Nintendo Switch Sports is another one of those first-time titles that seems to have some limitations. As identified by “Akfamilyhome” on Twitter, you will not be able to play the multi-player local mode of the game with two or more players if you are playing Switch / Switch OLED in table mode or using Switch Lite. If you try to access this feature with two or more players, the following message will appear, informing you to place the switch on a dock to play the game in TV mode. “When two or more people are playing, you must be playing in TV mode. Insert the Nintendo Switch console into the Nintendo Switch dock.” To clarify, you can still play 1 player in both offline and offline table mode, only when there are 2 or more local players when the limit applies— Akfamilyhome (@Akfamilyhome) April 29, 2022 Even if you try to start a local multiplayer match on the big screen and then switch to table mode, the following message will appear: “You can not switch to desktop mode now. Insert the Nintendo Switch system into the Nintendo Switch dock.” Image: Nintendo Life Confirmation follows in February that Switch Lite users will be able to play Nintendo Switch Sports with Joy-Con, although Nintendo would apparently prefer users to stay on the big screen for this particular game. While this may not be the most amazing news, how do you feel about not being able to play local Switch Sports multiplayer with two or more players in desktop mode or Switch Lite? Would you play this way if there was a chance? Leave a comment below.
