Ralph Rangnick previews Bradford conflict
Martin Kewon believes that Ralph Rangnik’s decision to take over Austria while staying at Manchester United looks like a “pantomime”, as Dion Dublin urged the club to sever ties with the German.
Old Trafford’s interim boss will take on the role of advisor in the summer as Eric ten Hague comes as his successor, but will coincide with the position of Austria coach. The 63-year-old has signed a two-year contract with Austria, which will be extended for another two years if he qualifies for Euro 2024 in Germany.
United’s decision to allow Rangnick to trick in both positions has been brought under control and former Arsenal defender Coyne has strongly criticized the decision. He told the BBC’s Football Focus: “He’s the manager of Manchester United, because they are making this announcement now, the whole thing is a pantomime. It just did not work. The sooner the new manager comes, the better.”

Dion Dublin was in agreement with Keown and told United to cut ties with Rangnick as he did not see the deal working. He added: “I do not think it will work. I really do not see how it is. An international coach who works at Manchester United. He came in and it did not work, it was not great. There are still issues in the locker room.
“Individual performance was not good enough at Manchester United, they can not play a series of games together. Cut your ties, give yourself a chance, thank you very much and let him go. I do not think you need anything that did not work there yet. .
Rangnik insists that working in Austria will not affect his role as an upstairs consultant at Old Trafford. He confirmed the news in a statement, saying: “I will take over as manager of the Austrian national team at the end of the season, but I will continue my advice with Manchester United. I really look forward to playing my part in helping United become a real force

“It is an honor for me to take on his role [Austria] director “, he added. “The prospect of playing in the European Championship in Germany with a young team thirsting for success fills me with great impatience.”
Gerhard Milletich, President of the Austrian Football Association, added: “We are delighted to have hired Ralf Rangnick, an outstanding specialist in international football, to coach the team. We are all convinced that he is the ideal man and that his vision will promote the national team and OFB “.
The Austrian FA sporting director Peter Schöttel said: “After a very well-founded and intensive process, we have managed to beat Ralf Rangnick, an absolute top man with a great international reputation as the team boss. It makes me very proud and I look forward to work together. “
