Elizabeth Todsen, in a statement provided through her attorney, claimed that she had received sexual applause from Herbster in 2019 and said that her experience had been “described in detail” in a previous report by the Nebraska Examiner. “I have been struggling for years with an experience I had with Charles W. Herbster. At a political event in 2019, Herbster sexually mocked me while greeting my table. “That was the night Herbster grabbed Sen. Julie Slama aggressively,” Tonzen said. “This decision to tell my story was extremely difficult because of my fear of being influenced by Charles W. Herbster, a strong voice in Nebraska politics. “But since I’ve been thinking about it for years, I know it’s time for Nebraska residents to learn about the horrific actions of Charles W. Herbster.” Todsen called Nebraska Sen. Julie Slama (R) “brave” and “a strong role model for all women” after Slama confirmed to the Examiner earlier this month that she had been inappropriately touched by the Nebraska Gov. candidate. According to the news agency, the 2019 incident took place during a Republican fundraiser. Tonchen told the Examiner that she and other friends were sitting at a table they knew had been paid for by Herbster. When the Republican donor greeted the table, he told the news agency that “his hand went to my butt. It was a grab. At that point, I tried to walk away, but I could not. “It was as if he knew I could not say anything.” Herbster’s campaign claimed Todsen’s allegations were part of a “slanderous attack” on him and said he denied the allegations. “Just 10 days before the Republican primary for governor, Charles Wu’s political opponents. Herbsters with ties to Governor Rickets unleashed this heinous slanderous attack on him. “These are the desperate tactics of a failed political campaign aimed at offsetting the uninspired and liberal candidate Jim Pillen,” he said in a statement. “Charles W. Herbster has already filed a lawsuit against one of the individuals named in the petitions and will take legal action against the others. “He will not stop fighting until his name is cleared and he is vindicated,” he added. Teacher fires cotton, cuffs in class for slavery Biden turns to Trump for media approach Earlier this month, eight women accused Herberster of sexual harassment while speaking to the Examiner. The report prompted a bipartisan group of state senators to urge Herbster to leave the race. Slama confirmed to the Examiner at the time that Herbster had inappropriately touched her at the same 2019 fundraiser after lifting her skirt without her consent as she passed. The Herbster campaign director told the news agency that the candidate denied the allegations. Former President Trump is scheduled to support Herbster at a rally in Nebraska on Sunday, following a postponement due to bad weather.
