Investigations continue on Friday to locate a 48-year-old missing lobster fisherman who jumped into a river in Digby County. Graham Cromwell of Weymouth Falls, NS, was last seen by Department of Fisheries inspectors jumping into the Sissiboo River Wednesday night. A spokesman for the Fisheries Department said Cromwell and three others were fishing near Weymouth Falls around 9pm and reportedly fled when two fishery officers tried to conduct an inspection. After the four fishermen fled on foot and jumped into the water, inspectors located three of them but not Cromwell. Officials say there is no evidence that individuals were involved in rights-based fishing. Digby RCMP is leading the investigation with the support of dog police services, air services, the Joint Rescue Coordination Center, the Department of Land and Forestry and Nova Scotia Power.
