The British are experiencing some hot and sunny seasons this holiday weekend, as families take a brisk walk for a break they deserve. Mercury could reach 17 degrees Celsius in southern England on Monday and winds are expected to remain weak for most, the Met Office predicts. Throughout the weekend, temperatures are likely to fluctuate around mid-adolescence with plenty of sunshine in much of the country. But those of you who suffer from allergies should beware, as pollen counts are expected to be high this weekend – especially on Bank Holiday Monday. This month was drier than usual, especially in the South, where rainfall was about 30% lower than usual. However, it will be a bit more of a mixed picture for the north, where people are more likely to experience cloudy skies and light scattered rains, meteorologists added. Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist David Oliver said: “It’s a different combination of weather this weekend of bank holidays after a fairly steady week for the UK. Meanwhile, huge queues are forming at Manchester Airport as staff face a huge increase in demand. There was so much unrest at Manchester Airport around the beginning of April that calls were made for police intervention. Travelers said they waited hours to pick up their suitcases, while others said queues for safety were merging with the check-in line. After a chaotic Easter weekend at the airport, airport CEO Karen Smart decided to resign. Other airports, including Heathrow, are also experiencing chaos and delayed flights – partly due to increased demand but also due to rising Covid cases among airline staff.
