LA Dodgers boss Todd Boehly is set to win the battle for Chelsea – despite Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s latest bid. This is because the Boehly group has already been given a preferred position by the brokers of Roman Abramovich, the Raine group based in the USA, The Boehly team was informed that they had been given a “exclusivity period” to discuss the final terms and conditions of an acquisition package. And there are no indications that Raine is willing to have such a quick turnaround, with Ratcliffe just too late for the party. The British billionaire approached Raine this morning and submitted a bid of 4 billion pounds. The owner of the petrochemical giant, Ineos, met with Chelsea president Bruce Buck on Thursday to discuss a possible bid. Ratcliffe told the Times: “We made an offer this morning. “We are the only British offer. Our motivation is just to try to create a very good club in London. We have no incentive to profit because we make our money in other ways. “ Ratcliffe, a season ticket holder at Stamford Bridge, wants to use 1, 1.75 billion of his offer to upgrade the team and the stadium. But Boehly’s offer now seems to be successful. Elsewhere, Anton Ferdinand urged West Ham to raid Chelsea for Armando Brocha. He told SunSport: “I would like to go and get Brocha, who is on loan at Southampton from Chelsea. “He is exciting. He can finish. He is a strong young man. “Not the same but similar to Antonio in terms of his presence and strength. “He is willing to run and play two center-backs and for me personally, he is someone West Ham should look to go and get.”
